Input.format

Function

Given an opening Separator for tags, a Separator between tags, and a closing Separator for tags, create an input format that recognizes files tagged with that format.

Default Behavior

By default, input formats created with this function expect the following:

Files are tagged in the order File Name -> Tags -> File Extension.
Leading tag separators are optional, e.g. [,tag1,tag2] and [tag1,tag2] are both valid, if the tag separator is ,.
Trailing tag separators are optional, e.g. [tag1,tag2,] and [tag1,tag2] are both valid, if the tag separator is ,.
Tagged values are forbidden, i.e. all tags will be interpreted as purely literal tags.

To override any of this behavior, use Input.With.
